The structure of FFU (fan filter unit) mainly includes the following parts:
Outer shell: The main materials of the outer shell are cold plate paint, stainless steel, aluminum zinc plate, etc. It has two shapes, one is a sloped top, mainly used for diversion; the other is a rectangular, beautiful and can make the air entering the shell contact the filter surface with the largest area.
Filter: FFU is usually equipped with a coarse filter and a high-efficiency filter (HEPA or ULPA). The coarse filter is used to prevent debris from damaging the high-efficiency filter, while the high-efficiency filter is used to capture 0.1~0.5 μm particle dust and various suspended matter.
Fan: The fan is the power source of FFU, usually a centrifugal fan, with large flow, high wind pressure, low noise, energy saving and other characteristics. The speed of the fan can be adjusted by the control system to meet the air needs of different occasions.
Control system: The control system includes sensors, controllers and actuators, etc., which are used to monitor air quality in real time, adjust wind speed, control fan start and stop, etc. The sensor detects the air quality, the controller sends a control signal based on the data, and the actuator is responsible for executing the command.
Deflector: The deflector is built into the box to balance the airflow and ensure that the air contacts the filter surface with the largest area.
Other components: such as impellers (forward or backward), electronic components, etc., jointly ensure the normal operation and efficient filtration of FFU.
