FFU is a self-powered air supply and filtration device, a modular terminal air supply device with filtering effect.The fan filter unit draws in air from the top and filters it through HEPA. The filtered clean air is evenly delivered over the entire air outlet surface at a wind speed of about 0.45M/S±20%.It is a new type of unit modular clean equipment.
Product Features:
Multiple speed control methods available;
Low operating power consumption reduces costs;
Built-in air duct guidance system lowers noise and pressure loss, improving fan efficiency;
Suitable for use in cleanrooms with cleanliness levels Class 1-1000;
Motor designed for over 80,000 hours of operation.

FAQ
Q: What does FFU stand for and what is its main function?
A: FFU stands for Fan Filter Unit. Its main function is to receive primary air (from the plenum or ambient) and deliver ultra-clean, filtered air vertically down into the cleanroom area, providing the required air cleanliness and uniformity. It is the core terminal filtration device in a cleanroom.
Q: What is the difference between FFU and a regular air conditioner fan?
A:Unlike regular fans, FFUs are equipped with HEPA/ULPA filters. They are designed to meet strict cleanliness standards (e.g., Class 100, Class 1000) by providing not just airflow, but airflow with a specific cleanliness level, laminar flow pattern, and uniformity. Regular fans only circulate air without filtration efficiency requirements.
Q: What is the standard size of an FFU? Can it be customized?
A: Common standard sizes are 2x4 feet (1170x570mm), 2x2 feet (570x570mm), etc., to match standard ceiling grid systems. Yes, we accept non-standard size customizations to fit specific ceiling opening dimensions or special project requirements.
Q: How to install an FFU? Does it require complex ductwork?
A: FFUs are designed for modular installation. They are typically placed directly into a suspended ceiling T-grid. They do not require complex ductwork. Air is drawn from the plenum above the ceiling (which can be just the building's return air plenum), making installation very flexible and clean.
Q: How loud is the FFU when running? What is the noise level?
A: Noise level depends on the static pressure and speed. Typically, at low to medium speeds, our FFUs operate at around 50-60 dB(A) (measured 1.5m below the unit). We use optimized fan blade and duct guide designs to minimize noise.
